7 spooky DIY tricks to transform your home this year

Looking for something unique and realistic? How about a spooky firepit? Don’t worry, your fire alarm won’t go off, because this DIY décor involves no fire or smoke. You will need cardboard (a sturdy piece), insulation foam spray (expanding foam), orange LED string lights or tea lights (battery-operated), a plastic skull and faux bones, red and black spray paint, scissors or a craft knife, a clear work surface, disposable covering (old sheet/newspaper), protective gloves, mask and goggles. Ensure you work outdoors. Start by cutting a piece of cardboard to the desired size. Now wear your protective gear and spray some insulation foam on it. Add the orange lights and place the faux skull and bones. Then cover it with some red spray paint, and use the black in other areas. Cut off the excess cardboard. Plug in the light connected to the décor. At night, it will look even more realistic. You can keep it in your yard or porch, and people will wonder if it’s real!
