BITS Pilani is introducing tuition-blind admissions for the top 500 BITSAT rankers, starting from the academic year 2026-27. The initiative offers a full tuition scholarship for four years to students with an annual family income of up to Rs 20 lakh, provided they maintain a minimum CGPA of 7.5 at their respective campuses. The assurance of the scholarship will be included directly in the admission offer.The scheme follows a trend of increased financial support at the Institute. In the last academic year, BITS Pilani awarded Rs 132 crore in scholarships, benefiting one in every four students. The new initiative is backed by growing alumni contributions and institutional investment, allowing the Institute to expand tuition-blind admissions progressively.Full scholarships for top BITSAT rankersProf. V Ramgopal Rao, Group Vice Chancellor, emphasised the significance of the programme: “We have invested heavily in scholarships for years, but tuition-blind admissions for our top 500 BITSAT rankers is a defining step. If you have the talent, money should not come in the way.” The scholarship covers the full cost of tuition across all four years, making higher education at BITS Pilani accessible to high-performing students regardless of financial background.Programmes and degrees offeredBITS Pilani offers a range of academic programmes across its campuses. The Integrated First Degree programmes include B.E., M.Sc., and B.Pharm. degrees, designed as foundational qualifications for students entering the Institute through BITSAT. Higher Degree programmes, including M.E. and M.Pharm., provide advanced professional training and opportunities to develop specialised expertise.The MBA programme integrates scientific and engineering perspectives into business administration, preparing students for leadership roles in diverse industries.
