CEN 02/2025: RRB revises CBT schedule for Technician recruitment; check official notice here
The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) under the Ministry of Railways have issued a revised tentative Computer Based Test (CBT) schedule for Technician recruitment under CEN 02/2025. The updated plan modifies an earlier notice and applies to Technician Grade-I Signal and multiple categories of Technician Grade-III posts.According to the official announcement, the examinations will now be conducted on March 6, March 9, March 10 and March 13, 2026. The revision has been released to streamline the examination process across centres and ensure smoother candidate management.Exam city details and call letter timelineRRBs stated that the link to view exam city and date details will be activated on the official websites ten days before the candidate’s scheduled examination date. SC and ST candidates will also be able to download their travel authority through the same portal.E-call letters will be available approximately four days prior to the examination date mentioned in the exam city intimation. Candidates have been advised to check their respective RRB websites regularly for updates and download the documents within the specified timeframe.

Identity and Aadhaar requirementsCandidates must carry the same original photo identity document that was submitted during the application process. Entry to the examination centre will not be permitted if the identity document does not match the details provided earlier.The notice also advises candidates who completed Aadhaar verification at the application stage to ensure that their Aadhaar remains in an unlocked status in the UIDAI system. This measure is intended to avoid delays during registration and verification at the examination venue.Advisory against misinformation and malpracticeRRBs have urged applicants to rely only on official websites for recruitment-related information. Candidates have been cautioned against unauthorised sources that may circulate misleading updates or false claims.The boards also warned against intermediaries or touts offering job assurances in exchange for illegal consideration. Recruitment through CEN 02/2025 will be done only through the CBT method, and selection will be on merit only.The schedules and instructions that had been changed were communicated by the Chairpersons of the Railway Recruitment Boards on 25 February 2026. Candidates have been advised not to miss any official communication and to get all their work done within the deadline.
