Ultraviolette Tesseract e-scooter launched with 261 km range! Prices, features

Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer Ultraviolette Automotive has been known for its premium electric motorcycles. However, the company has now entered the mass-market segment with the launch of its first electric scooter, the Tesseract. The model is priced at Rs 1.45 lakh, ex-showroom. However, as a special offer, the first 10,000 buyers can avail of the vehicle at a discounted rate of Rs 1.20 lakh, ex-showroom.
Pre-bookings for the two-wheeler are now open at a token amount of Rs 999, while deliveries are scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2026.
Ultraviolette Tesseract: Battery and range
The Tesseract is built on a new platform and employs a 20.1 bhp electric motor. The company claims the scooter can achieve a range of up to 261 km on a single charge, depending on the battery pack chosen. Buyers will have the option of three battery capacities: 3.5kWh, 5kWh, and 6kWh.
Performance-wise, the electric scooter is no slouch, sprinting from 0-60 kmph in just 2.9 seconds and achieving a top speed of 125 kmph. Additionally, its battery can be charged from 0 to 80% in less than an hour.
Ultraviolette Tesseract: Features
The Tesseract is packed with high-tech features. A 7-inch touchscreen TFT instrument console with onboard navigation, dual dashcams (front and rear), wireless charging, haptic feedback on the handlebars, dual-channel ABS, traction control, and hill hold assist are a few notable offerings. Furthermore, Ultraviolette has equipped the scooter with dynamic stability control.
One of the biggest highlights of the Tesseract is its radar-based ADAS, making it the first scooter in India to incorporate this technology. This includes blind spot detection, overtake alerts, lane change assist, and collision warnings.
The electric scooter gets 34 litres of under-seat storage, enough to accommodate a full-face helmet. It rides on 14-inch wheels and will be available in four colours: Sonic Pink, Desert Sand, Solar White, and Stealth Black.
As for warranty, Ultraviolette offers a standard three-year/75,000 km coverage, which can be extended up to eight years or 2,00,000 km for added peace of mind. The model will lock horns against the likes of TVS iQube, Simple One, Ola S1 Pro, Ather 450, Vida V2 Pro, and River Indie.
