Kia Carens Clavis EV launch on 15th July.

After launching the Kia Carens Clavis in India, the company is now getting ready to enter the electric vehicle market with its first mass-market EV. The electric version of the Carens Clavis is set to be unveiled on July 15. Here is a quick look at what to expect from the upcoming Carens Clavis EV.

Kia Carens Clavis EV: What to expect

First things first, the design. While the electric version shares appearance with the ICE-powered Carens Clavis, subtle styling tweaks give it its own identity. As seen in the teaser, the model will get a sealed-off grille, revised front and rear bumpers, a sleeker front fascia, and new aero-optimised alloy wheels. Besides that, there’s also a charging port integrated into the nose of the car. As for the powertrain, the Clavis EV will pack the same electric powertrain as the Hyundai Creta EV. It’s likely to be offered in two battery configurations: a 42 kWh and a larger 51.4 kWh pack. The latter is claimed to deliver a certified range of up to 490 km on a single charge, which, notably, is more than that of Creta Electric’s claimed 373 km on a full charge.
