APSC Recruitment 2025: Notification released for soil conservation ranger posts, registration begins from this date

The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released a notification inviting applications for 16 posts of Soil Conservation Ranger under the Soil Conservation Department. The online application window will open on July 9, 2025, and remain active until August 9, 2025. This recruitment drive targets graduates in science and engineering disciplines who are passionate about environmental sustainability, natural resource protection, and land management.Interested candidates must ensure they meet all eligibility criteria, including educational qualifications and age limits, before applying. The job offers a salary ranging from ₹22,000 to ₹97,000 per month, along with grade pay and other allowances. All official information and updates are available on the APSC portal: apsc.nic.in.

APSC eligibility requirements

To be eligible for the Soil Conservation Ranger post, candidates must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Science with at least one of the following subjects: Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Forestry, Geology, or Physics; OR
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Engineering or Civil Engineering from a recognized university.

Age Limit:

  • Minimum age: 21 years
  • Maximum age: 38 years as of January 1, 2025

Age relaxation is available for the following categories:

  • Other Backward Classes: up to 3 years
  • Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe: up to 5 years
  • Person with Benchmark Disabilities: up to 10 years, depending on category
