India vice-captain Rishabh Pant stole the spotlight as he made an appearance at SW19 a few days back, complete with a fresh new look. Surrounded by cameras, India’s lively wicketkeeper-batter had quite a few insights to share as he spoke to the media at Wimbledon. The 27-year-old once again went viral on social media, but this time it wasn’t for his antics on the cricket pitch, but rather, an earnest admission regarding his style and swagger.When quizzed about why he opted to make an appearance at the Grand Slam tournament, Pant opened with his motive to be ‘inspired.’ He said, “You want to come and watch someone who can inspire you. I think that’s amazing.” He also admitted that eventually, one would want to enjoy something as a fan after constantly being in the spotlight as a sportsperson himself.However, as the player went on to lay out his motives to attend the tournament, he did not fail to get a laugh out of his followers. In an earnest admission, he said, ” …And I get to dress well, finally. I think we are always, you know, wearing shorts and t-shirt. I think wearing a suit feels good sometimes.”As far as his motive of looking good went, Pant turned up at Wimbledon in a striped dapper navy blue suit. Pant joined the likes of Virat Kohli, Deepak Chahar and Ravi Shastri to add to the list of celebrities from the world of cricket at the tournament.
