- Bihar: Banks will remain closed today and tomorrow for the evening and morning Chhath rituals.
- Jharkhand: The state will observe a two-day holiday today and tomorrow for evening and morning Chhath Puja.
- West Bengal: Banks will remain closed today for the evening Puja.
These holidays apply only to the respective states. As per the RBI holiday calendar, all scheduled and non-scheduled banks remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays.Even though physical branches may be closed, customers can still access most banking services through ATMs, online banking, mobile apps and UPI for fund transfers, bill payments, and balance checks. However, in-person services like large cash deposits, cheque clearances, and demand drafts will not be available. Account holders are advised to plan ahead and use digital banking options for seamless transactions during the festive period.
