Honda 0 Alpha revealed: Electric SUV to rival Tata Curvv EV, Maruti e Vitara

Japanese Automaker Honda has revealed the new Honda 0 Alpha concept electric SUV at the ongoing 2025 Japan Mobility Show. The 0 α concept marks the dawn of Honda’s next-generation 0 Series electric vehicle range. The production-ready model is scheduled to make its debut in Japan and India by 2027, before expanding to other global markets. When launched in India, the Honda 0 Alpha EV will rival the Tata Curvv EV, Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara, Hyundai Creta EV, Mahindra BE6, MG ZS EV and in the Indian market.

Honda calls the Honda 0 Alpha concept as “Thin, Light, and Wise,” and that philosophy clearly reflects in its styling. The SUV carries a broad, upright stance that gives it presence, while the sharply angled front and near-vertical rear windscreens stand out as key design highlights. The window line sweeps upward toward the rear, merging into a thick C-pillar that gives it a hint of MPV-like proportions, capped off with a subtle roof spoiler.Design-wise, up front, the smooth fascia houses an illuminated Honda emblem and an integrated charging port, bordered neatly by sleek headlamp units. A bold lower bumper transitions into muscular body cladding along the sides, where aero-styled 19-inch, five-spoke alloys fill the flared wheel arches. At the rear, a wide U-shaped LED light strip frames the upright glass area, while a chunky faux skid plate on the bumper completes the rugged yet futuristic appeal.

Both the front and rear feature large, screen-like sections that integrate various functional elements. At the front, traditionally separate components – such as the headlights, illuminated Honda badge, and charging port are neatly unified within the screen area. The rear continues this theme with a distinctive U-shaped lighting signature that merges the tail, reverse, and turn signal lamps. The near-vertical tailgate design also hints at generous luggage capacity and improved practicality.

The interior of the EV SUV concept has not been revealed, however, Honda says that the cabin of the Honda 0 Alpha has been designed to feel thin yet roomy, ensuring occupants enjoy a sense of openness without compromising on comfort. Honda also says that its broad stance reinforces the SUV’s dynamic proportions, projecting both stability and athleticism on the road.
