NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Education, has issued a circular advising all CBSE-affiliated schools and parents to procure only genuine NCERT textbooks. The advisory highlights concerns about unauthorised sellers supplying counterfeit or fake textbooks at discounted rates.CBSE has emphasised that fake NCERT textbooks are often of inferior quality and may contain printing and content errors. Such discrepancies can affect students’ learning experience and academic performance.
