Kalyani Priyadarshan couldn’t contain her admiration for Dulquer Salmaan’s standout performance in ‘Kaantha’, particularly his handling of Tamil dialogue. She acknowledged the fantastic contributions of P. Samuthirakani, Rana Daggubati, and up-and-coming star Bhagyashri Borse. Additionally, Kalyani praised the film’s director for creating a nostalgic atmosphere and achieving an ideal ensemble cast.

Actor Kalyani Priyadarshan who recently delivered a Rs 300 crore hit with Dulquer Salmaan’s Lokah: Chapter 1- Chandra recently has heaped glowing praise on her producer, friend and co-star after watching his latest Tamil film Kaantha, calling it her favourite performance of his to date.Taking to Instagram she wrote , “ This might actually be my favourite Dulquer Salmaan performance (and for anyone who knows me, that’s saying a lot).Went in knowing almost nothing and came out moved… and i can’t help it… i get extra excited when Dulquer speaks Tamil on the big screen (i know how much he loves the language and how deep that connection runs).”

She also praised veteran actor P.Samuthirakani, Rana Daggunati and new comer Bhagyashri Borse adding: “Thondakani sir, I thought I’d only be cheering for dq’s lines but i was cheering for yours too! @bhagyashriiborse… as i told you… my eyes go straight to you on screen no matter who else is there and @ranadaggubati always love watching you doing what you do best 🤍.”Kalyani further highlighted the film’s nostalgic cinematic atmosphere and the craftsmanship behind it: “A special word for the director for taking us through a time in cinema we all wish we were a part of ✨ @jakes_bejoy mass and class as usual 🤌 even the others! perfect casting. so happy for everyone who poured their heart into the film 💞.”Her words come at a time when Kaantha has been receiving strong appreciation from audiences and critics alike, with Dulquer’s performance frequently singled out as one of the film’s biggest strengths.
