IBPS issues notification updating CSA vacancies under CRP-CSA XV: Check details here
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has issued a corrigendum revising the indicative vacancies for the Customer Service Associates (CSA) posts under the Common Recruitment Process (CRP-CSA XV). The updated figures, released on November 14, 2025, replace the preliminary numbers shared in the original notification dated August 1, 2025. While the structure and conditions of the notification remain unchanged, the institute has clarified that the state-wise and bank-wise vacancy numbers have undergone a comprehensive reassessment.IBPS said that participating banks have provided fresh inputs on their anticipated requirements for the upcoming cycle, prompting an update to Annexure I. The revised document now reflects the latest internal assessments across banks, though the final allotment will still depend on the actual vacancies reported closer to the appointment phase.
Major states continue to lead vacancy distribution
The updated annexure shows that larger states continue to dominate the vacancy landscape. Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal collectively account for a sizable share of the revised openings. These states have historically recorded high recruitment numbers owing to their extensive branch networks and customer volumes, and the latest data reinforces the trend. In contrast, smaller states and union territories such as Sikkim, Ladakh, Puducherry, and Lakshadweep have reported only marginal adjustments, with limited positions available. Officials familiar with the process noted that the disparities reflect both demographic factors and the operational scale of participating banks in these regions.
Participating banks reassess workforce needs
According to the corrigendum, the participating public sector banks have recalibrated their projections in line with operational requirements, digital expansion efforts, and expected retirements. IBPS has clarified that these numbers remain indicative and are subject to further change.Recruitment experts say such revisions are not unusual in large-scale banking examinations, where manpower assessments fluctuate during the financial year. The updated list offers a more accurate reflection of the hiring landscape as of mid-November.
Updated annexure lists revised reservations and categories
In addition to revising the general vacancy totals, IBPS has reaffirmed the category-wise break-up across SC, ST, OBC (NCL), EWS, and the various sub-categories. The corrigendum reiterates reservation allocations for persons with benchmark disabilities, including HI, OC, VI, and ID, along with quotas for Ex-Servicemen (ESM) and the Dependents of Ex-Servicemen (DESM).The detailed breakdown, available in the updated PDF, is expected to guide candidates in selecting banks and states strategically. Given that category-specific vacancies often influence cut-offs and allotment patterns, aspirants have been urged to examine the revised numbers carefully.
Candidates advised to revisit preferences
With the updated Annexure-I now live, IBPS has advised candidates to review the modified vacancy chart before locking their bank and state preferences. The institute emphasised that the corrigendum is an essential update to the earlier notification and must be considered by all aspirants preparing for the next stages of CRP-CSA XV.As recruitment progresses, IBPS is expected to release further clarifications, depending on banks’ final vacancy reporting. For now, candidates are expected to align their preparation strategies with the updated figures, ensuring informed choices as the selection cycle moves forward.Candidates can click on the link provided here to download the IBPS CSA vacancies 2025.
