Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a defence PSU under the Ministry of Defence, has opened the application window for 49 Management Trainee (MT) positions as part of its 2025 recruitment cycle. The online registration process, which began on January 30, 2025, will close on February 21, 2025. The detailed shortlisting procedure, eligibility criteria, and examination structure have been published through the organisation’s official recruitment advertisement (Advt. No. 2025-1).This recruitment cycle covers vacancies across engineering, finance, HR, business development and language-related roles. Candidates will be selected through a Computer-Based Test (CBT) followed by an interview. Educational Qualifications
Engineering (Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, CSE, Chemical, Civil)
- B.E./B.Tech in the relevant discipline
- Minimum qualifying marks as prescribed for each category
Finance
- CA/ICWA or
- MBA (Finance) from a recognised institution
Human Resources (HR)
- MBA/PG Diploma in:
- Human Resource Management
- Personnel Management
- Industrial Relations
- Or equivalent specialisation
Official Language (Rajbhasha)
- Postgraduate degree in Hindi
- English as a subject at graduation level (or vice versa)

BDL selection process
BDL will follow a two-stage selection process for Management Trainee recruitment. The first stage is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) comprising 150 questions—100 discipline-specific and 50 general aptitude—conducted over a duration of two hours. The exam follows a marking scheme of +1 for each correct answer and –0.25 for each incorrect response. To qualify, candidates must secure a minimum of 60% marks for UR/EWS categories and 50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD categories. The CBT carries 85% weightage in the final merit list. Candidates who clear the CBT cut-off will be shortlisted for the interview round, which carries the remaining 15% weightage, and final selection will be based on normalized CBT scores combined with interview performance.
