Yamaha Fascino, RayZR recalled in India: Is your scooter affected?
Yamaha Motor India has announced a voluntary recall for its 125 cc hybrid scooter range in India, covering the Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid and RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid. The recall has been issued due to a potential issue related to the front brake system.According to the company, scooters manufactured between May 2, 2024, and September 3, 2025, fall under this recall campaign. Yamaha has identified that the front brake caliper in some scooters may show limited braking performance in specific operating situations, which could compromise braking effectiveness.Yamaha has stated that customer safety remains its top priority and has urged owners of affected scooters to visit their nearest authorised Yamaha dealership. The company will replace the affected part free of cost as part of this recall. The replacement procedure will be carried out only at authorised Yamaha service centres.
Owners can also check whether their scooter is included in the recall by visiting the official Yamaha Motor India website. Under the Service section, customers need to go to the Maintenance tab, select “Voluntary Recall Campaign” and enter their scooter’s chassis number in the Scooter 125 section to confirm eligibility. Customers can also contact Yamaha’s toll-free helpline or directly approach authorised showrooms for assistance.In terms of pricing, the Yamaha Fascino S 125 Fi Hybrid with colour TFT display and turn-by-turn navigation is priced at Rs 1,02,790, ex-showroom. The standard Fascino S 125 Fi Hybrid costs Rs 95,850, while the base Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid is priced at Rs 80,750.
