CUET UG 2026 registration deadline extended to February 4; check eligibility and steps to apply
The National Testing Agency has prolonged the registration time for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate 2026, thus allowing more time for the applicants to get their registration done online. The authorities made the move after receiving several requests from the candidates. The portal for applications will be available beyond the initially planned date of closing.According to the official public notice, the application window that opened earlier this month will remain available until 11:50 PM on February 4, 2026, after which the registration link will be disabled. Candidates seeking admission to central and other participating universities are required to submit their forms through the official CUET website.Revised schedule and examination detailsNTA has confirmed that the CUET UG 2026 examination is scheduled to be conducted from May 11, 2026, to May 31, 2026, on a tentative basis. The test will be held in Computer-Based Test mode across examination centres in India and 15 international cities, enabling wider access for candidates.Eligibility and application overviewApplicants appearing for the undergraduate entrance examination must complete the online application within the extended timeline. During registration, candidates have to select the subjects, courses, as well as the universities they wish to attend. They may select up to five subjects which can include languages and the General Aptitude Test. The fees will be charged as per the selection. Admit card and subsequent phases Once the registration has been completed NTA will publish the city intimation slip and then the CUET UG 2026 admit card on the official portal. Registered candidates will be able to download hall tickets a few weeks before the examination and are advised to verify details such as examination date, shift, and allotted centre once issued.The correction window will be available from February 9 to February 11, 2026, while fee payment has been extended until February 7, 2026, allowing candidates to finalise applications without technical constraints within the stipulated registration framework.
