The Marathi thriller ‘Dashavatar’ which has actor Dilip Prabhavalkar in the lead, is gaining traction at the box office. After a promising opening weekend, the Marathi film has crossed the Rs 6.8 crore India net mark in five days.
Strong weekend for ‘Dashavatar’
As reported by the Sacnilk website, ‘Dashavatar’ began with Rs 60 lakhs, but quickly gathered pace.Later the collections rose to Rs 1.4 crore on Saturday and peaked at Rs 2.4 crore on Sunday. Though Monday saw a dip to Rs 1.1 crore, the film impressed with Rs 1.3 crore on Tuesday (Day 5, early estimates). The total now stands at Rs 6.8 crore India net.
Impressive occupancy
Reportedly, the film maintained a healthy occupancy on Tuesday as It had an overall 45.95% Marathi occupancy. Evening shows drew nearly 50% turnout, while night shows surged to 78.23%. The impressive occupancy figures for the Marathi thriller is surely a positive factor which was impact its box office performance in the coming days.

Directed by Subodh Khanolkar, Dashavatar weaves suspense with cultural heritage. Dilip Prabhavalkar plays Babuli Mestri who is a passionate Dashavatari folk theatre performer from Konkan. He strives to preserve the tradition of celebrating the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu. Alongside Dilip Prabhavalkar, the film features Mahesh Manjrekar, Siddharth Menon, Priyadarshini Indalkar, Bharat Jadhav, Abhinay Berde, Ravi Kale, Vijay Kenkare, Sunil Tawde, and Aarti Wadagbalkar.
