David Dhawan expresses shock at passing away of Satish Shah |



With the passing away of Satish Shah, not only did the movie business lose one of its stalwarts, the industry also lost one of its greatest friends. Recalling its friendship David Dhawan who has known Satish Shah for almost 50 years stated that both of them began their journey together at Film and Television Institute of India stated that he was still in shock with the news about Satish Shah passing away.

Describing Satish Shah in his conversation with HT City,Dhawan called him ‘ full of life’. He also revealed that Shah would undergo dialysis at Leelavati Hospital and whenever he would be shooting at Mehboob Studio which is right around the corner from the hospital he would ask Shah to drop by and he would often visit the sets and spend time with everyone. Dhawan also stated that Shah was doing fine until complications began.

Satish Shah and David Dhawan have collaborated on many films like Hero No.1, Saajan Chale Sasuraal, Mujhse Shaadi Karoge, Judwaa and many more.

In the same conversation, Dhawan revealed how despite having a huge friend circle Shah was in regular touch with him and also mentioned how Shah had stopped working for some time and told him that he wanted to rest. To which Dhawan had told him that he would cast him in his next film to which Shah replied saying that his film he would surely do.

David Dhawan’s next release is going to be Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai with his son Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur.
