Maharashtra HSC result 2025 announced: Check gender wise performance over the years

The Maharashtra State Board Of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, Pune (MSBSHSE) announced the result for Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exams 2025 today, May 5. As per the information released by the board, a total of 14,27,085 regular students registered, and 14,17,969 students appeared in the examinations. Out of these, 13,02,873 students passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 91.88%.
Following the past trends, girls have outperformed boys yet again in Maharashtra board class 12th exams, with a pass rate of 94.58%, while boys stand at a pass rate of 89.51%. The overall pass percentage of girls is 5.07% higher than that for boys.

Overall performance in Maharashtra board class 12th exams
Having a look at this year’s result, the overall pass percentage for regular students in Maharashtra HSC results is recorded at 91.88%. The overall pass percentage for Maharashtra board class 12th has seen a dip over the years, with this year’s result obtaining the lowest percentage.
Evidently, female candidates have always emerged to be the better performers in Maharashtra board exams. The overall performance of students, while the lowest in the past four years, still stands consistent above the 90 per cent mark.

This year, among all the divisional boards, the Konkan division has achieved the highest result for regular students at 96.74%. Meanwhile the Latur division has obtained the lowest mark at 89.46%.
