NEET PG Counselling 2025: MCC to accept NRI applications till today, round-wise schedule expected shortly at mcc.nic.in
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced that the submission window for NRI quota applications in NEET PG 2025 counselling will close today, October 28, 2025, at 12 noon. Candidates seeking conversion of their category to NRI are required to email the necessary documents to nri.adgmemcc1@gmail.com before the deadline. This update comes even as the complete counselling schedule for postgraduate medical admissions is still awaited on the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in. The ongoing delay in publishing the round-wise schedule has sparked concern among aspirants, with many awaiting clarity on seat availability, verification timelines, and the Supreme Court’s pending hearing on counselling transparency.
NRI quota application window closes today
As per the latest MCC notification, today is the last date for candidates to apply under the Non-Resident Indian (NRI) quota. Those wishing to be considered for seats reserved under this category must submit verified proof of their NRI status and relationship with their sponsor. MCC has directed applicants to send scanned copies of all required documents via email by 12 noon today, October 28, 2025.Failure to meet the deadline will disqualify candidates from claiming NRI status for the 2025 counselling cycle. This step is part of MCC’s renewed emphasis on document verification and transparency, following concerns over previous misuse of NRI category seats.
