NEET PG counselling 2025 schedule released at mcc.nic.in: Round 1 registration ends on November 5, check details
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially released the NEET PG 2025 counselling schedule for admission to postgraduate medical programmes under the 50% All India Quota (AIQ) and state quota seats. According to the official notice, Round 1 registration will remain open till November 5, 2025, at mcc.nic.in. The choice-filling process for MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses has already started. The Round 1 seat allotment results are expected to be declared on November 8, 2025. The entire counselling process, including all four rounds, is scheduled to conclude by January 2026. The schedule announcement follows delays due to pending seat approvals and a Supreme Court hearing on transparency petitions.
MCC NEET PG 2025: Schedule for round 1
The counselling will be conducted in four rounds — Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up, and Stray Vacancy. Below are the important dates for Round 1:
- Registration and fee payment: October 28 to November 5, 2025
- Choice filling and locking: Ongoing till November 5
- Seat allotment result: November 8, 2025
- Reporting/joining at allotted colleges: November 9 to November 14

Steps to register for NEET PG 2025 counselling
Eligible candidates can register for round 1 by following the steps below.
- Visit the official MCC website — mcc.nic.in.
- Click on the “PG Medical Counselling 2025” link.
- Complete the new registration form with your NEET PG roll number and password.
- Pay the required counselling fee online.
- Fill and lock your preferred college and course choices before the deadline.
- Wait for the Round 1 seat allotment result on November 8.
- Report to the allotted institute between November 9 and 14 with original documents.
The registration window for NEET PG counselling round 1 will close on November 5, 2025.
NRI quota applicants: Document deadline ends
For candidates applying under the NRI quota, MCC set a deadline of October 28, 2025, to submit supporting documents. Those who missed the deadline may not be eligible for the Round 1 process. Candidates are advised to regularly check the MCC portal and email for communication regarding document verification or status updates.
