In a recent interview with British Vogue, the Citadel actor was asked which Bollywood film she’d recommend to someone unfamiliar with her work. With a smile, Priyanka revealed, “I only know this one because my husband recommends this movie of mine, who has not seen maybe some Bollywood movies. It is Dil Dhadakne Do, and most of my friends who have not seen Bollywood movies love it. So that is a good one, I think.”Released in 2015, Dil Dhadakne Do remains one of Priyanka’s most loved performances. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the film boasted an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Farhan Akhtar, Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah. The story followed the dysfunctional Mehra family on a Mediterranean cruise that turns into a voyage of self-realisation and reconciliation. The film earned both critical acclaim and box office success, grossing around Rs 145 crore worldwide on a Rs 58 crore budget.

Love, family and new beginnings

Priyanka and American singer Nick Jonas tied the knot in a lavish dual-ceremony wedding at Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan Palace in December 2018, celebrating both Hindu and Christian traditions. The couple welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, via surrogacy in January 2022, completing their beautiful family.Priyanka was last seen in a Hindi film in The Sky Is Pink (2019), where she portrayed a mother navigating loss and resilience.
