Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has launched its latest recruitment drive for Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager) positions across several key streams. A total of 110 vacancies have been announced, including roles in General, Legal, Information Technology, Engineering, Research and Official Language streams. The online application process has already begun, and candidates can apply through the official website sebi.gov.in. The recruitment will be conducted in multiple phases, with Phase I scheduled in January 2026 and Phase II in February 2026. Interested applicants need to carefully review eligibility conditions, important dates and exam requirements before submitting the application.

SEBI recruitment: Total vacancies and streams

SEBI has notified 110 vacancies for Officer Grade A posts. These include:

  • 56 in General stream
  • 20 in Legal stream
  • 22 in Information Technology stream
  • 4 in Research stream
  • 3 in Official Language stream
  • 2 in Engineering (Electrical)
  • 3 in Engineering (Civil)

Eligibility criteria

The qualifications differ based on the stream a candidate chooses:

  • General Stream: Master’s degree or 2-year PG Diploma in any discipline, or Bachelor’s in Law/Engineering, or CA/CFA/CS/CMA
  • Legal Stream: Bachelor’s degree in Law; legal/advocacy experience preferred
  • IT Stream: Bachelor’s in Engineering or Bachelor’s in any discipline with 2-year PG in CS/IT/CA

These criteria ensure SEBI hires candidates with strong domain expertise.

How to apply online

Follow these steps to apply online:

  1. Visit the official SEBI website: sebi.gov.in and go to the “Careers” or “Opportunities” section.
  2. Find the advertisement titled “Recruitment of Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager) – 2025” and click on the “Apply Online” link.
  3. Click “New Registration”: Enter your name, email, mobile number and create a login (you’ll get registration number & password).
  4. Log in using the credentials and fill the online application form:
  • Enter personal details (name, father’s name, DOB etc.)
  • Choose stream (General, Legal, IT, Engineering etc)
  • Fill educational qualification and other eligibility details
  • Select category and exam centre preferences
  • Upload the required documents/images (photo, signature, thumb impression, handwritten declaration) exactly as per specifications given in the notification (file size, format).
  • Preview your application, check carefully for any errors, make corrections if allowed. Then accept the declaration, click ‘Save & Next’.
  • Proceed to payment of the application fee:
    • For Unreserved / OBC / EWS: ₹1,000 + 18% GST.
    • For SC / ST / PwBD: ₹100 + 18% GST.
      Pay through online mode as specified (credit/debit card, net-banking).
  • After successful payment, submit the application. Then print/save a copy of the submitted application and payment receipt for your records.
