Tamil Nadu: Train hits school bus in Cuddalore; several children feared dead | India News

NEW DELHI: Two students died and three others, including the bus driver, were injured after a school bus was hit by a train at a railway crossing in Semmankuppam near Cuddalore on Tuesday morning. According to initial reports, the bus was attempting to cross the track when it was struck by an oncoming train. Several students were inside the vehicle at the time of the collision. Rescue teams and emergency services reached the spot quickly, and the injured were taken to the Cuddalore Government Hospital for treatment. On the incident, Cuddalore SP SP Jayakumar said, “Two students dead, two students and the bus driver injured. The Railway Police, railway authorities and the State Police are conducting further investigation.”
