UP D.El.Ed 2025: The Uttar Pradesh government has released the official notification for UP D.El.Ed 2025, inviting online applications for admission to the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), formerly known as BTC. This course is mandatory for candidates aspiring to become assistant teachers in primary and upper primary schools across the state.The online application process will begin on November 24, 2025, and will remain open until December 15, 2025. This year, a total of 2,33,350 seats are available, including 10,600 seats in 67 District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) and 2,22,750 seats across 2,974 private colleges. Candidates must complete the registration process and submit the application fee within the specified timeline to be eligible.Eligibility criteria and application feesCandidates must hold a graduate degree to apply. The merit for admission will be calculated based on 10th, 12th, and graduation marks. Applicants should be between 18 and 35 years of age, with SC, ST, and OBC candidates eligible for a five-year age relaxation.Candidates from other states can also apply if seats remain vacant after the first counselling phase. However, priority will be given to Uttar Pradesh residents, and non-UP candidates will not be eligible for reservations. Counselling and allotment processThe counselling process will be conducted in three rounds. In Phase-1, candidates will select their preferred institutes, and allotments will be made in accordance with category-wise and merit-based rankings. Document verification and admission must be completed by the candidates at the allotted institutes.Phase-2 counselling will include candidates from other states if seats remain vacant. Vacant reserved category seats may be converted to unreserved seats during the second phase. The allotment, document verification, and admission for Phase-2 will be completed by February 16, 2026, with training scheduled to start from February 17, 2026.Key instructions for candidatesApplicants should ensure that all details in the online application are accurate. Incorrect or incomplete submissions may lead to rejection. Candidates must also take printouts of the completed application and preserve them for future reference during counselling and admission.
