Veteran actor Satish Shah, known for his role as Professor Rasai in ‘Main Hoon Na’, has passed away. He humorously recalled Shah Rukh Khan’s uncontrollable laughter during spitting scenes, leading to multiple retakes and even the insertion of another actor’s shot. Shah also shared how he continued the spitting habit on other sets.

Veteran actor Satish Shah is no longer with us, he passed away on Saturday due to kidney failure as per a report shared by filmmaker Ashoke Pandit. As the news began to spread clips of his interview began to do the rounds of social media, in one of them he called himself a ‘Spitting Cobra’ after he worked with Shah Rukh Khan in Farah Khan‘s Main Hoon Na. He played Professor Rasai in the film who suffers from sialoquent- a peculiar condition where a person spots a lot while talking. The now deceased actor stated that it was Shah Rukh Khan who convinced him to take up the role. Speaking about the role, Satish Shah told Bollywood Bubble that he gulped water before his scenes and at times he would accentuate so much that the water would come out as spray. He revealed that SRK would end up laughing and there was a time when he had to do 8 retakes for the same spitting shoot because SRK wouldn’t stop laughing. Satish Shah had also revealed that at one point he got really angry and announced that if they didn’t get the shot in that particular take he wouldn’t do it again, as Shah Rukh Khan just couldn’t control his laughter .As they went for the next take SRK laughed again and the makers has to insert a shot of Zayed Khan in the scene.He also recalled that he carried the spitting habit on the following shoots too and ended up spraying on Govinda, who would smile and wipe his face.
