Yokohama India has launched its latest premium touring tyre, the BluEarth-GT MAX. This is a next-generation evolution of the brand’s BluEarth-GT series. As per the company, the new tyre is designed to offer up to 30% higher mileage.The BluEarth-GT MAX has been developed keeping in mind both urban traffic and highway cruising conditions. It will be available across a wide size range from 14 to 19 inches, and like other Yokohama products, it is covered under the company’s Lifetime Protection Programme.

What sets the new GT MAX apart is its focus on solving three key challenges Indian drivers face: tyre life, cabin noise, and ride comfort. Yokohama has re-engineered tread design, and says that the tyre delivers not just more mileage but also a quieter and smoother driving experience.
The tyre features a new asymmetric tread pattern, where the inner shoulder provides enhanced comfort while the outer shoulder, with a wider rib, adds extra stability during cornering. The blade-cut sipes are designed to optimize contact pressure across the tread surface, improving rigidity and traction, while lightning-shaped grooves channel water effectively to ensure confident grip on both wet and dry roads.In other developments, Yokohama India recently partnered with The Classic Himalayan Drive 2025, a 10-day motoring expedition reviving the legendary rally routes of the 1980s.
